Turkey Valley coach finds plenty to like at UIC girls meet

Lead Summary

Although his team placed sixth out of the nine schools who competed at the Upper Iowa Conference track meet on Thursday with 54 points, Turkey Valley girls’ track coach Dalton Hackman was pleased with the Trojans’ performance.
“Overall, we did great!” Hackman said. “Almost every one of our relays ran a new best time, and some of them are sitting pretty well in Class 1A.”
One of these relays he is referring to is the distance medley, who was runner-up to only Kee. The Kee-Hawks just outlasted Turkey Valley, defeating them by three one-hundredths of a second.
