Turkey Valley comes close to pulling off upset

Lead Summary

The Trojans baseball team faced stingy competition in each of their trio of contests last week. Although they were unable to pick up a victory, Turkey Valley showed they can compete with the better teams in the state.
The main way they proved this was in their final matchup to end the week against Gladbrook-Reinbeck on Friday.
Gladbrook-Reinbeck entered the game with a solid record of 13-9 compared to Turkey Valley’s 4-21. However, the game was tight throughout, with the Rebels topping the Trojans in the bottom of the seventh in walk-off fashion.
