Turkey Valley picks up pair of victories

Lead Summary

Turkey Valley will wrap up the Upper Iowa Conference season this week as they finish a doubleheader that was started earlier in the season at Postville and was rained out.
At least they’re going to attempt to finish it on Thursday, the day this week with the best chance of rain.
With a double win, the Trojans could solidify their third place spot in the Upper Iowa Conference. South Winn leads with an 11-1 record — the only loss to the Trojans last week — and Lansing Kee is 12-2. Turkey Valley is currently 7-5, one game ahead of North Fayette Valley, a team the Trojans split with last week.
On Wednesday, the TV boys stepped out of the UIC and into the Northeast Iowa Conference, winning over Crestwood 13-10. In that game the Trojans committed an uncharacteristic three errors — but the Cadets finished with six.
