Turkey Valley stays perfect

Lead Summary

Scott Kime would probably say that the waning moments of the first half of Turkey Valley's 52-27 win over Northwood-Kensett were more enjoyable than the early going.  After the Trojans capped their first possession on a 34-yard Wyatt Blazek touchdown run, the Vikings came right back and drilled holes in the Turkey Valley defense to march down the field and tie the game.  A defensive lineman, Kime took a little too much responsibility for the yards the Vikings gained.  “That was pretty bad on my part,” said the Trojan senior. “I was still trying to get in my game mode and opened up holes for them. But then I pulled my head out and, overall I thought the team played pretty well.”  Coach Mark Scott disagreed with Kime on that first part.  “No I would not blame him for Northwood being able to run the ball,” he said. “I knew ahead of time that they would be able to run the ball well. They had large guards and backs that fought hard for extra yards and they ran the QB belly keep well.”  After they tied the game, the Vikings held Turkey Valley, forced a punt and again threatened before Cody Hackman did it again.  Did what??
