Turkey Valley sweeps Postville in UIC meet

Lead Summary

The push for the postseason is on for the Turkey Valley golf teams, and the Trojans appear to be heading into next weekend’s conference tournaments on the right track, especially after Monday’s double win over Postville.
The girls, who also beat a shorthanded Central team last Friday, topped the Pirates 223-242 as Jaedyn Winter was the medalist with a 50 and Savannah Schmitt finished as medalist runner-up with a 55.
“The girls played well tonight,” Turkey Valley coach John Reicks said. “We almost had all our varsity girls shoot in the 50s and that’s a good sign. I hope we can continue our improvement.”
