TV boys hand South Winn first UIC defeat

Up until Monday, no Upper Iowa Conference team had defeated South Winn’s baseball team, which came into a doubleheader against the Turkey Valley with an 8-0 conference record and an overall mark of 16-4.
During the first game of the twin bill, it looked like the Warriors would stay undefeated as they blanked the Trojans 10-0, but game two was a totally different story.
Behind the pitching of Cale Reicks, the Trojans pulled out a 1-0 upset.
South Winn’s pitching was strong as well. Only two walks were issued, one went to the game’s leadoff batter, Mason Goerend.
