TV run leads to sweep

The rematch wasn’t even close.

West Central had no chance on Friday night as the Turkey Valley Trojans put on a tour de force out on the hardwood in Upper Iowa Conference girls basketball action.
The result was a 56-23 victory for TV. The dominant effort by the Trojans left little doubt as to whether or not the Blue Devils’ near miss of an upset the first time the two teams played was legit.
West Central fell to TV, 44-40, the first time the two squads met in Maynard a week before Christmas.
“All coaches agree that this was the best that we played as a team - being in-sync, offense, defense. We moved the ball well,” said Turkey Valley head coach Carla Nymeyer.
