Well, winter has arrived

Lead Summary

Sooner or later, it’s going to snow in Northeast Iowa. And while this year, the first measurable snowfall came relatively late, winter has definitely arrived.About 2.5 inches of snow fell on New Hampton overnight on Saturday, and we are about to get our first arctic blast of the season as well.High temperatures are going to be downright frigid later in the week and may not get into the 20s by Wednesday.“We’ve had a pretty nice fall, but sooner or later, you know winter is coming,” said a spokesperson for the National Weather Service’s La Crosse, Wis., office. “And it’s going to feel like winter this week.”For the complete story see the 12/6/2016 New Hampton Tribune.
