A wild night for Trojans

   After Turkey Valley's Evan Drilling laced a home run down the left field line to start a district semifinal game against Kee High Thursday, Jaden Bruess was trying to be helpful.   Except he was wearing a mischievous grin.   "Evan took the second pitch, and it travelled oh, 520-530 feet," he stated, then looked up to see if anyone was buying it.   Though the Trojans lost a 9-8 heartbreaker to end their season in the district semifinal, Drilling laughed after the game when he heard the figure.   "I knew it had some distance, but I thought it would probably go foul," he said of the hit that gave the Trojans a 1-0 lead over the Kee Hawks.   Although Bruess may have exaggerated a tad on the distance of the home run — coach Dan Stepan put it at 302 feet — the Drilling homer gave the Trojans a jump start on the game, and a lead they would not relinquish until the fifth inning.
