Winless Huskies making progress

Lead Summary

It’s not like Levi Miller didn’t come into the baseball season with his eyes wide open; after all, injuries and other issues left the Nashua-Plainfield baseball team playing with less than a full deck.So while the second-year coach despises being 0-15, he hasn’t come close to giving up on his team yet, despite four more losses last week.“We’re still making progress,” he said, “and I know people look at our record and question my sanity. But if we put a full game together, we can be dangerous.”The Huskies suffered through another tough week — giving up a 4-1 lead in a 9-5 loss to Janesville on Tuesday, struggling out of the gate in a 13-3 loss to St. Ansgar on Wednesday, running into a hot Osage team in a 14-0 loss on Friday and wasting a solid pitching effort by Levi Enright in an 8-3 loss to North Butler on Monday.
