Wins tough to come by for Huskies

Lead Summary

The Nashua-Plainfield volleyball team finally got back onto the court last week, and although wins were hard to come by, the Huskies definitely showed some potential.  Because of the flooding that hit the Nashua area last week, the Huskies hadn’t played a match in two weeks when they took on West Fork last Tuesday.  Although the Warhawks came away with a 25-23, 25-18, 25-20 victory, Nashua-Plainfield got a solid match from Morgan Kapping, who had six kills while Sydney Hansen added 18 assists and Britney Holthaus contributed 15 digs.  Two nights later, the Huskies closed out the home portion of their schedule and came within a proverbial eyelash of taking St. Ansgar to five sets before falling 25-17, 19-25, 25-19, 25-23.  More on the story may be found in the Oct. 13 Reporter.
