Although they played far from their best on Monday, the New Hampton girls golf team was still able to cruise to a victory in the first round of regionals at Jesup Golf and Country Club and advance to the regional finals.

Against many extremely deep and talented Northeast Iowa Conference foes, the New Hampton boys golf team placed fourth of the seven schools who competed in the conference meet last Monday at Waukon.

Normally, rain and golf coexisting does not have a positive outcome. However, the boys golf team for New Hampton is far from normal, and they proved it on Friday.
